Tallinn: City Hotels and Accommodation
Located close to the city centre, Tallinn Ulemiste Airport (TLL) is situated a mere 3 km / 2 miles from numerous central hotels, which offer a high standard of accommodation, as you would expect in any major European capital. Many of the most popular hotels in Tallinn can be found in the two historic old town districts known as Toompea and Lower Town, both of which are full of character, period architecture and the city's main tourist attractions, such as the Estonian Open Air Museum. Accommodation in the old town areas is well-placed for visitors with commerce needs, with many chain hotels being close to the city's main business districts and offering plenty of meeting rooms and related amenities.
Further accommodation can be found around the affluent area of Toompea, where the main attractions are the medieval city walls and related fortifications, most of which are extremely well preserved. Also a number of hotels can be found on the eastern side of central Tallinn, in the Kadriorg area, where lodging is well-placed for visiting the Art Museum of Estonia and also the Kadriorg Palace and its beautifully landscaped gardens.
Those looking for coastal hotels in the Tallinn area should head to the Pirita district, located on the north-eastern side of Kadriorg and featuring a vast marina area, with many things to see and do on the waterfront, including boat hire along the scenic Pirita River.
